We have spent the Christmas holiday in Ferris, Texas visiting family. In just a few short weeks, we’ll be headed to Ukraine and wanted to spend this time with our loved ones. Who knows when we’ll be able to spend Christmas with our family again.
Obviously, one of the large needs in our lives is earning income while we are in Ukraine. Also, it’s obvious that it’s very difficult to find a job you can do from another country.
Back in September, I had been praying about how I could earn a consistent income from Ukraine doing web development work. I started a business (M11 Design, LLC) and began doing some web work for clients (from building whole sites, to remodeling blogs and everything in between. While I will enjoy doing freelance work for clients, it’s not easy to find those clients and will be more difficult once we move. So I had been praying that God would show me how I could do something consistent. Just a week after I began praying in that direction, I was at a 2-day web design conference/seminar/training at iThemes in Oklahoma City and made a new acquaintance at lunch on day two. The business owner began our conversation asking me about my relationship with Christ. Pretty good start, huh? As the lunch progress, I shared with him about my new business and about our plans for the future. He shared we me about his business and ended the lunch with him saying that he might be able to use my services some in the future.
I filed that in my mind and didn’t think about it much again until a few weeks later he contacted me about doing some consistent work for his company. What an amazing answer to prayer! So I’ve been doing some work for him over the last weeks as I can and during our holiday, I spent three days at their office in Houston working intensively on a new website design and deployment. It was a remarkable time of idea sharing, developing, and fellowshipping. One of the family of sites is eaglefordshale.com . There are currently several sites with many more to be deployed soon. Currently, we are working in the background to deploy a brand new eaglefordshale.com site. So if you visit the site, it’s still the old one – but if you are interested in oil and gas, these guys are honest and active believers in Jesus Christ.
We are so thankful for God’s amazing provision in our lives and look forward to see what He does next!
